About Patient Folders
Folder Home
Patient folders are created to record each episode (treatment or trauma) a patient has, an episode can be a burn, plastic surgery procedure or specialist care by a burns team.
When the patent demographics form has been filled in by clicking Save & Close on the tool bar an option to create a folder box or just save patent demographics will appear.
To create a new IBID folder click on the Burn Injury IBID option.
The folders are stored within each patent record, it will link to the patent demographics, contain the patients IBID episodes and link the patients daily dependency care to the patent record.
The Top field of the folder will have the date automatically entered when the folder is created. Searchable keywords can be free typed in to this field, such as details of the injury or condition.
IBID Record field
The second field shown is the Patents IBID record. To find out more about IBID records please see Creating an IBID Record The IBID record can be edited from here by clicking the Open IBID button, all saved IBID records are shown as a list in the field below.
If no IBID Record exists, a new IBID record can be created by clicking New IBID Record shown next to Open IBID Record, by clicking on the New IBID Record on the Navigation tab or selection New on the tool bar. A drop down list will appear with New IBID Record and New Dependency Record to select from.
Daily Dependency Field
The third field shown is the Daily Dependency field. This is the patents day to day care record, for more information please see Dependency Records - IBID.
A new Daily Dependency record can be created by clicking New Dependency Record shown next to Open Dependency Record, by clicking on the New Dependency Record on the Navigation tab or selection New on the tool bar. A drop down list will appear with New IBID Record and New Dependency Record to select from.
To the left side of the screen is the navigation bar, In the Action field, a new ibid record or Daily dependency record can be created.
The View Field accesses,
- Burns Care Journal with a timeline of events for each case. For further information on Burns Care Journal please see Care Journal.

- Validation Errors List a full list of validation errors for each episode. For further information on Validation Errors please see Validation Errors
