This topic is for NBBB Call Centre

Background

In order to access the web app to update their bed availability, each burn service has a unique access code. These codes are generated dynamically* for each organisation in the system that is flagged as a Burn Service (BRS).

A list of these codes is available in the NBBB Call Centre app. Login to the NBBB Call Centre app as a Super Administrator and click on the Users tab on the left. Click on the Burn Service Access Codes tab on the top of the page to see the generated list of access codes.

Creating new Access Codes

You cannot directly create a new burn service access code. If a hospital is a burn service and they are to update their bed availability via the web app, please ensure that the BSL field is set to BRS in the NNBC Trust Sites list.

Update FileMaker Source Database (mandatory)

The NNBC Trust Sites table is maintained centrally in a FileMaker database. It is a combination of the NHS ETS file and burn specific data. This FileMaker database exports to a CSV file that is then imported to the NNBC Trust Sites (presently 21k rows).

Therefore, the value of the BSL field in the FileMaker database needs changing to BRS in order for a service to be able to input their own bed availability data.

Edit directly (optional)

A system administrator can update the NNBC Trust sites to quickly allow a service access to the web app. Please note that any changes made to this data will be overwritten the next time the CSV file is uploaded'

  • Log on to NBBB Call Centre as an administrator
  • Go to NNBC Trust Sites page
  • Set Max Rows to -1 (to ensure all records are downloaded)
  • Click Open ETS Data
  • Use the filter button on the Organisation Code column header to select the correct organisation code.
  • Scroll across to the field called BSL
  • Enter BRS into that field
  • Click Save Updates

You're done.

Now, go to the User page and click on the Burn Service Access Codes tab (if necessary hit refresh) & you will see the new site listed along with it's access code.
